University Rector Lauds the Kingdom's FY 2020 Budget and its Focus on Education

His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, recently commented on the national budget for fiscal year 2020. The Rector is pleased in that there is every indication that the Kingdom is on track to meet the financial targets set forth in Vision 2030.

 

The Rector said: "His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has issued an annual budget that serves both the immediate needs of Saudi society and provides for the necessary advances and investment required to stay on the path to further development as per Vision 2030. Further empowering the private sector will raise the standard of living for the average citizen, and provide for the safety and security of our society for many generations to come."

 

Rector Al-Solamy noted that 19% of the annual budget for next year is devoted to education. This reflects the Kingdom's commitment to developing its vast human resources for the nation's collective benefit. He also commended His Majesty's decision to extend the cost-of-living allowance for an additional year until the end of FY 2020.

 

Rector Al-Solamy concluded by asking Allah to protect and bless His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and our wise Leadership.
