University Hosts Forum for Guidance and Counseling Supervisors

His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, hosted the Forum of Guidance and Counseling supervisors in Saudi Universities. The Guidance and Counseling Center sponsored the event at the main campus on Tuesday morning.

 

In his opening remarks, the Rector noted the critical role guidance counsellors play in ensuring the success and well-being of students in need. He also recognized that being a counsellor requires extraordinary talents and patience. The Rector said that the forum would provide counsellors more tools and strategies to perform their essential functions to help the students.

 

Guidance and Counseling Center Supervisor, Dr. Khadhran Al-Suhaimi, welcomed the attendees, thanking them for their concern and participation. He also thanked the Rector and his administrative team for their continuing support of the center's efforts to serve the needs of the university community.

 

Guidance Center at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University Director, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Mutaoa, presented a speech on behalf of his institution. He thanked King Khalid University for hosting the forum and reiterated the role of college guidance centers in helping students throughout the nation.

 

The hosts then presented a short film about the organization and the roles and impact of the Guidance Center followed by summaries of a sampling of counselling cases, which greatly affected students from around the Kingdom.

 

His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy concluded the event by honouring the participating supervisors and representatives of the Guidance and Counseling Centers from different Saudi universities.
