Message from the General Director of the General Directorate of Facilities

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and all his family and companions. We welcome visitors to the Directorate's page. At this esteemed academic institution, which we are proud to serve, we strive to uphold the reputation of King Khalid University as a globally recognized university. Alongside this pride, we work with great care and precision to ensure the comfort of our staff, faculty members, students, and visitors to the university campus.
There is no doubt that the General Directorate of Facilities, responsible for the operation and maintenance of all university facilities and buildings, is dedicated to providing a comfortable and seamless educational environment for students, as well as an effective working environment for faculty members, administrators, and technicians. This is in alignment with the university’s strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
In conclusion, we are pleased with your satisfaction with the services provided by the Directorate, and we pray to Allah Almighty for continued success and guidance. He is the One capable of granting that.

In alignment with the national direction to shift from the concept of operations and maintenance to the concept of facilities management, and with the aim of achieving spending efficiency through the merging of certain units and departments with overlapping tasks and responsibilities, a decision was issued by the University President, No. 19716/38/2, dated 09/03/1442H, to establish the General Directorate of Facilities. This directorate is administratively linked to the University Vice President and is responsible for ensuring the safety of the university’s facilities and its staff. It also provides services related to the operation and maintenance of facility systems, cleaning, fire protection systems, space utilization, ensuring the efficiency of devices and equipment, and all matters related to facility services and their preservation.

To efficiently and effectively provide all operational and maintenance services across all university facilities with high quality, keeping pace with advancements through specialized personnel who adhere to the highest technical, engineering, and safety standards, thereby elevating the university to the ranks of prestigious global institutions.

The Directorate is responsible for maintaining the university environment by coordinating and supervising regular maintenance of buildings, facilities, and infrastructure. It provides all related services following best practices to ensure that university facilities and structures achieve the highest levels of quality, efficiency, and excellence.
