Vision, Mission, and Objectives
Vision: A leading scientific research center specializing in the history, heritage, and antiquities of the Aseer region.
Mission: To disseminate the history, heritage, and identity of the Aseer region within the comprehensive national history. This includes establishing serious research efforts to extract, analyze, and interpret information from documents, sources, books, preserved heritage, existing artifacts, and recorded oral traditions. This will be done according to a modern historical philosophy that aligns with the current and future national strategy.
Objectives:
Document and preserve the history of the Aseer region from multiple sources (read, audio, visual, and oral), protecting and documenting it according to rigorous scientific methodologies, within the comprehensive framework of serving the history of the Kingdom.
Verify and document the history and heritage of the Aseer region according to established scientific methods and a modern, distinct historical vision that keeps pace with the aspirations of the country's leaders.
Authenticate and preserve unpublished manuscripts, memoirs, documents, photos, and visual materials. This also includes documenting oral narratives about the region's history and making them accessible to researchers using modern scientific methods and technologies.
Establish a technical information portal about the region in several languages to support researchers and all interested parties.
Support researchers in serving the region's history through research, authentication, authorship, and publication.
Hold historical and civilizational seminars about Aseer's history and civilization, and organize specialized exhibitions.
Activate cooperation with specialized research centers.
Collaborate with the private sector to support the center's programs according to established procedures.
Provide services to institutions and individuals in historical consultation, auditing, and documentation.
Establish a historical, heritage, and archaeological museum that collects everything possible about the Aseer region.
