    Definition

    It is an agency that is concerned with providing a pioneer academic and educational environment in King Khalid University, at the level of similar pioneer agencies in other Saudi, and Arab universities.

    Creating unique educational academic environment to contribute in building an educational community.

    Develop and innovate (create) academic programs that are relevant to official developmental plans and provide the labor market commensurate to the quality of educational environment and community partnership.

    Goals

    • To provide unique academic programs according to the standards of developmental plan, total quality and labor market requirements.

    • To create a supportive learning environment for creativity and excellence.

    • To enhance the efficient performance of supportive colleges and deanships associated with Vice Presidency. 

    • To build effective partnerships with community organizations.

    • To approve students admission criteria in the University.

    • To improve the study programs and plans in order to meet the national development requirements.

    • To employ and use the specialized scientific potential power of the university employees in order to contribute in serving the community.

    • To achieve excellent outcomes in the local and international matters.

    General tasks

    • Supervise and follow up the criteria of students admission in the university.

    • Supervise and follow up the developments of colleges and departments in its overall organization.

    • Supervise, follow up and offer support to colleges and departments in order to improve their plans and study programs.

    • Supervise and prepare the special evidence for plans and the models of excellent performance.

    • Follow up and observe the updates of plans and study programs at the level of local and international universities.

    • Coordinate with the relevant agencies to organize workshops and training courses in the field of plans and study programs.

    • Supervise and follow up students' affairs and activities. Supervise and follow up developmental affairs of faculty.

    • Supervise and follow up the preparation for developmental help programs and training.

    Vice President for Educational Affairs at King Khalid University – Abha since 08/08/1438 AH to present.
     
    Short Biography:
    A scholar specialized in parasitic immunity and molecular biology in the field of diagnosing endemic parasitic diseases in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in developing vaccines against some parasitic diseases.
     
    Career Objectives:
    To establish a long-term professional career in academic, educational, and administrative fields at the department and university level, in addition to contributing to specialized research, applying teaching and technical skills in university education, keeping up with new developments in education management, and acquiring administrative skills in the academic field.

    • Appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of Life Sciences on 21/9/1420 AH (29/12/1999).
      Master's Thesis Title: "Studies on Cutaneous Leishmaniasis in Selected Areas of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia", supervised by Prof. Hussein Sir Al-Khatim Hussein – may he rest in peace.

    • Good experience in handling various molecular biology instruments and products in the fields of parasitology and immunology, as well as the necessary bioinformatics software.
    • Isolation and purification of DNA.
    • Gene cloning, PCR, primer design, oligonucleotide design for gene synthesis, plasmid isolation and purification, DNA restriction and ligation using specific enzymes, electrophoresis, agarose gel electrophoresis, etc.
    • Protein isolation and purification: includes production of fusion proteins for purification and diagnosis, protein purification, protein precipitation.
    • SDS-PAGE electrophoresis, Western blotting for protein detection, ELISA and IFA for immunodiagnosis, etc.
    • Good experience in in vitro cultivation of malaria, leishmania, and schistosoma parasites.
     
    Research Activity and Interest:
    • Study of endemic parasitic diseases affecting humans and their economic animals in Saudi Arabia.
    • Molecular and serological diagnosis of parasites in their intermediate and final hosts.
    • Research in biotechnology and genetic engineering, and their use in studying parasitism and designing vaccines against endemic parasitic diseases in Saudi Arabia.
    • Research in basic and applied immunology.
    • Participation in establishing specialized research units in the field of advanced biotechnology-based research.

    • Completed a two-month course in molecular epidemiology of parasitic diseases at the Pasteur Institute in Tunisia in 1997.
    • Completed a one-month course in clinical immunology at the Pasteur Institute in Tunisia in 1999.
