Under the Patronage of the Governor of Asir region, The University Organizes "KKU EXPO 2023" Exhibition to Prepare its Students for the Labor Market

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir Region and Head of Asir Development Authority, King Khalid University is organizing the first annual exhibition to prepare students and graduates for the labor market, under the name "KKU EXPO 2023", which will last for a period of 3 days in the University City in Al Fara'a.

The exhibition is being held in order to prepare university students for learning about the most crucial fundamental and professional skills demanded in the labor market and to find opportunities for them in the future, in a movement to support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's 2030 vision for developing human capital.

His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami, appreciated His Highness, the Governor of Asir region for making the expo under his generous patronage. He also thanked His Excellency the Minister of Education, Prof. Yusuf bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, for the support that the university receives, pointing that the university, through holding this exhibition, is looking forward to building an integrated relationship with various entities, which will reflect positively on preparing its students for the labor market, in addition to achieving sponsorship and support for innovative projects to be successful national products.

Prof. Saad bin Muhammad bin Dajem, University Vice President for Educational and Academic Affairs, explained that 36 training workshops are being presented by elite labor market pioneers and representatives, 54 entities, including governmental and private institutions, are participating in the exhibition and sharing their experiences and expertise in work environments, and 12 dialogue sessions are being held focusing on the labor market and its future requirements.

Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani, Dean of the Deanship of Student Affairs, confirmed that the university seeks, through its exhibition, to empower students pursuing training opportunities and direct communication with the participating agencies, as well as expand their professional training to meet the demands of the labor market in accordance with the Kingdom's vision 2030, as well as equip students with the fundamental skills and increase their level of readiness of to compete in the labor market.
