His Royal Highness the Governor of Asir Region Patrons King Khalid University 25th Batch Graduation Ceremony

His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir Region and Head of Asir Development Authority, congratulated the graduate students of King Khalid University for the academic year 1444.

This came at the graduation ceremony held at the sports stadium in the university city in Al-Fara'a for KKU;s 25th batch for the  academic year 1444 AH – 2023 AD, titled the "Silver Jubilee Batch."

His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal explained that we celebrate the graduation of university students because of the work that has been done cooperatively to complete and overcome the difficulties posed by university projects, and this feat would not have been possible without the Almighty God's grace, then the keenness of the wise leadership in this country.

The ceremony, which included  the presence of more than 25,000 people, began with a reciting of the Holy Quran, followed by a speech by His Excellency the University President, in which he welcomed His Royal Highness and the attendees, emphasizing how proud our dear country is of the more than 12,000 graduates who will serve as the nation's pillars of progress.

Al-Solami, added that graduates have begun a stage  of reimbursement to our  beloved country with all the meanings of loyalty, in a country whose wise government, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques  His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect them - believes that knowledge is the path of development, acknowledging the university's benefits from the Ministry of Education and thanking the wise leadership for their unending support of the university.

Al-Solami, also congratulated the graduates, thanking their families who attended the ceremony to witness this moment with pride, and expressing gratitude to the university employees who adhered to their obligations and earned their admiration.

Dean of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Ahmed Al Faye, and the Dean of Admission and Registration, Prof. Ali Al-Khalidi, then announced KKU’s  25th graduating batch , where  1360 students had completed postgraduate programs, including Ph.D., Masters, and High Diplomas, in addition to 11,085 graduates from the diploma and bachelor's degrees.

Furthermore, His Highness the Governor of the Asir region, and the attendees watched a visual presentation, which was followed by an operetta to honor the graduates. The alumni oath was also delivered  by Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani, the Dean of Student Affairs, and the ceremony was concluded by awarding graduates with honors in a variety of academic disciplines.
