University Receives National Accreditation for its Bachelor's Program in Dental Technology

In a new academic achievement KKU’s Dental Technology Bachelor program at the
College of Applied Medical Sciences in Khamis Mushait, obtained national program
accreditation from the Education & Training Evaluation Commission. The
accreditation of this program brings the number of national accredited university
programs to 35, in addition to the 9 programs accredited by international bodies.

 

The Dean of the Academic Development & Quality Deanship at the University, Dr.
Salem Al-Qarni, explained that the program received national accreditation after
completing corrective procedures, which each program accreditation requires, in a
specific time period, adding that the university has developed a plan to complete the
accreditation of all its programs during the year 2023.

 

Al-Qarni added that the university recently signed a framework agreement with the
Education & Training Evaluation Commission to accredit 75 programs, 26 of which
have completed the accreditation requirements. The final visits, however, remain
pending in order for the other programs to fulfill the requirements before announcing
their accreditation.

 

It is worth noting that the recently accredited programs included bachelor's, master's,
and doctoral degrees.
