Scientific Research Incentive Award Ceremony Under the Patronage of His Excellency the University President
The President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Solami, attended the incentive awards ceremony for scientific research, which was organized by the University Vice agency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, represented by the Deanship of Scientific Research, in the university city of Al-Qara’a.
In his speech at the ceremony Al-Solami praised the outstanding development witnessed in the field of scientific research at the university in past couple of years. He stressed the importance of dedicating more efforts towards the university research programs and taking advantage of the sources and facilities offered by the Deanship of Scientific Research. He also urged postgraduate students to purse the field of research and explore its opportunities. He concluded his speech by promising to devote efforts towards providing the support needed for scientific research in the university and noted that the development of nations is linked to knowledge growth and economy.
On his part, the Dean of the Deanship of Scientific Research at the university, Dr. Muhammad Abu Dahama, congratulated the awards winners which were 41 researchers from several fields. Abu Dahama also thanked all researchers for their keenness to excel in the field and contribute to the raise of the university's classification through its publications.
The ceremony concluded by honoring the winners of the research incentive award’s, which included the following categories : citation of research, abundance of scientific production, distinguished scientific publication, patents, and promising researchers.
It is noteworthy that the ceremony included a number of visual presentations that reviewed the efforts of the university during the last period in the field of scientific research.
