University Announce Winners of the Arabic Calligraphy Second Edition Competition
King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education announced the names of winners of the Arabic Calligraphy second edition competition , which is under the patronage of his Royal Highness the Governor of Asir Region Prince Tureky bin Talal bin Abdulaziz , and aims to enhance the presence of the Arabic Language and the Arabic calligraph as a global language and a global form of art.
The vice dean of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education for Quality and Development , and the General Supervisor of the Arabic Calligraphy Competition, Dr. Ahmed Al-Zamili, affirmed the Deanship’s keenness to organize the second edition of the competition , after the success of the first edition. He congratulated the winners and commended their excellence.
The University Arabic Calligraphy competition aligns with Arabic Language world day and , includes four fonts: the thuluth font , the regular thuluth font, in addition to the kufi font, and the diwani font. The competition awards amount to 200, 00 riyals and are distributed to the first three places in the four tracks of the competition.
