54 Thousand Benefit from the Community Service Programs

During the second semester of the current academic year 1442 AH, the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous  Education at King Khalid University implemented a number of applied diplomas, programs and training courses, in addition to community participation and voluntary work that served  more than 54,000 beneficiaries.

The Dean of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous  Education, Prof. Dr. Omar Alwan Aqil, explained that in the field of applied diplomas, the Deanship provided 8 classified applied diplomas for male and female students in the city of Abha and a number of university headquarters in the governorates of the Asir region. The diplomas included the disciplines of office management, applied programming, and resource management. In addition to occupational safety and health, public relations, and public health, the number of beneficiaries exceeded 520.

 

In the field of community partnership, the Deanship was also keen to activate its role in  contributing  to the development of the society .Its worth noting that among the most prominent community service programs supervised by the  Deanship at the University branch in Tihama during the second semester 1442 AH is  Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud  Award for science, excellence and creativity  which was  in cooperation with the Department of Education in  Mahayel Asir Governorate, and  Rijal Almaa.
