His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof.Abdulrahman Hamad Aldawood considered the terrorist act that was committed by treacherous individuals in Al-Ahsa as another evidence to the ugliness of wayward thought and lowliness of the planners. He also added that the act was a desperate attempt to spread sedition and destabilize a peaceful country with a cohesive society. He said, "Targeting innocent people's lives, intimidation, and shedding their infallible blood, is the way of those who lost their minds, and swerved the nature. It is not acceptable anywhere, especially in the Holy Land - the land of the Two Holy Mosques, the revolution, the Qiblah (direction) for the whole Muslims."

Aldawood pointed out that sympathizing with the perpetrators of such crimes - in any way - "amounts to involvement in the crime, instead, it is everybody's duty to combat this deviant act brought about by deviant thought. Everybody has to support eradicating it, and has to spread the tolerant teachings and instructions of the Islamic religion, which guarantees safety for people's life, families, and properties".

Moreover, Aldawood stressed on the important role that can be played by scientists, educators, opinions leaders, and media professionals to bring about an end to such atrocity. They should shoulder the responsibility of informing - in all forms - what is right for ordinary people, and they should warn the people of the evils of terrorism and its consequences, which can best be done through good advice, dialogue and persuasion. Also the President pointed out that the different classes of the Saudi Society condemned this heinous crime, which is a clear response to those who try to spread stray ideas, and an explicit message to the whole world that this country's cohesion and united stand, resulted from the wise leadership of our leaders. Our Leaders are always on the watch of all pursuits that seek to harm any aspect of the society, and they are always ready to confront those who attempt to spread sedition and sabotage, instead of spreading love and generosity in the country.

At the conclusion of his statement, Aldawood prayed to Allah to protect this country, and sustain it with security and stability, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince and Deputy Crown Prince. He prayed to Allah to keep this country away from those cunning people, the haters, and the spoilers.
