Education and Arts College for Girls celebrates National Day with a special touch

Education and Arts College for Girls of King Khalid University in Abha celebrated the 84th Saudi National Day last Monday the 22nd of September 2014 with a special touch. The college set up a contest for all its departments, giving each one what to deliberate upon, discuss it and come up with a specific write-up. Based on that, the name of winning department was announced.

The subjects were distributed as follows: Department of Islamic Studies, spoke on the subject "the biography of prominent Saudi scholars and their impact on Dawaa and dissemination of science"; the Department of Education and curriculum talked about "The stages of the evolution in Higher Education"; the Department of Arabic language talked about "The Kingdom's efforts in preserving the Arabic language, and the areas of focus of the Arabic language in disseminating it through teaching in the institutes". In the English department, the discussion was about "The Kingdom's efforts in caring for the communities inside, and propagating Islam abroad". At the Department of Geography, the discussion was about census, geographical renaissance and urban expansion in the life of the kingdom, and in the Department of History, the title of the subject was "The biography of the most prominent kings and their achievements". Still, there was the Department of Psychology, whose theme was about "Manifesting the kingdom's efforts in human care and the preservation of mental health through the provision of comfort, tranquility and safety methods, and through the provision of physical health requirements". Moreover, there was the subject of future "Childhood care and orphans" and the associations that sponsor kindergarten section.

At the end of the celebration, the Department of Arabic won the competition. Its topic - the kingdom's efforts in preserving the Arabic language ... - earned the satisfaction of the competition commission, due to its commitment to standards and terms of the competition.
