University trained 40 faculty members on strategic planning.

King Khalid University has completed a training for 40 faculty members on strategic planning: With three training workshops in Turkey.

The Vice-Presidency of Development and Quality of King Khalid University has implemented training program on strategic planning, which targeted the training of 40 members of the University Staff, including Deans, males and females, Supportive Deanships, and their Vice-Deans for development and quality. The program focused on a number of strategic planning applications, including holding three training workshops in Istanbul, Turkey, from 10 to 14 August, 2014 AD.

The program was carried out on two consecutive phases. Trainees have been trained in the first phase on the concepts, and basic knowledge for strategic planning, analysis, and knowledge-building. The second phase focused on training the trainees on the steps of planning, calendar, management and ongoing follow-up.

Earlier, the Vice-President of Development and Quality, Dr Ahmed Bin Yahya Al-Jbaili has stated that the goal of establishing such external training courses is scientific development, and the improvement of the academic performance in Higher Education. Other goals include taking advantage of the above mentioned ones in the field of training, and in the development of the skills of the staff who work in these vital areas, which is expected to achieve a lot in the university's academic progress.

Al-Jbaili also praised the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Higher Education in this field. The ministry aims at increasing communication between the teaching staff of the Saudi universities and the specialized international centers. Al-Jbail thanked the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al Dawoud, for his interest, continuos guidance, and keenness to provide all needed necessities to improve the university and its employees.

Al-Jbail concluded that the university has multiple strategic plans with many goals, which it seeks to achieve through a comprehensive quality standard, and by providing holders with the necessary skills.
