University Council approves the appointment of 63 Teaching Assistants at the university faculties

King Khalid University Council approves the appointment of 63 teaching Assistants at the university faculties.

His Excellency the President of King Khalid University and the Vice-President of the University Council, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al Dawoud headed the tenth meeting of the University Council, which was held last Monday.

During the meeting, Al- Dawoud urged the Heads of Academic Departments, Deans at the University taking the responsibility to check bodies' direction safety that faculty members communicate with either by communication, sabbatical or any other form of scientific communication. At the same time, the President pointed to the importance of giving priority to the Saudi citizens to fill the vacancies required by the university, as it is the direction of the governors, May Allah protects them.

After that, the Secretary of the University Council reviewed issues on the agenda to take the appropriate decisions. He briefed the Council resolutions, taken by authorization by the President from 13 \0 7 to 03 \ 08 \ 1435 AH. The resolutions included 43 resolutions that interest scholars, granting scientific degrees to twenty students, and appointing 63 teaching Assistant on the lecturer degree at university faculties.

In the key topics of the meeting and within the framework of the university's quest to keep up with labor market needs of the required disciplines, the Councile approved the study plan of the Bachelor Degree in the specializations of Anesthesia Technology at the Department of Anesthesia and Emergency Medical Services at the Department of Nursing at the colleges of Applied Medical Sciences at the University.

To enrich the student activities and providing multiple activities that could absorb the desires University students, the Councile approved the Plan of the Student Activities for the academic year 1435/1436 AH. At the same time, he stressed on the cooperation of everyone in order to implement the terms of this plan optimally.

Regarding King Khalid University communication with international universities and research centers, the University Council approved a sabbatical resolution for each of Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Shahrani and Dr. Abdul Salam al-Ghamdi.

In the area of exchanging expertise, the Councile approved contacting with Dr. Mohammed Bin Mrezn, Dr. Saeed Al Manea, and Dr. Saad Hussein Osman. The Councile also approved the renewal of the contract with two of the Teaching Staff.

To ensure the progress of the academic and student issues, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education has been delegated by the powers of the Council during the summer this year.
