University Declares Admission Dates and New Mechanisms for Next Academic Year

The Admissions and Registration Deanship at King Khalid University announced its admission plan via the Saudi Post for the academic year 1435-1436 AH. The plan consists of three stages.

The Deanship determined Tuesday the 15th of this month to be the day it would open online applications on its portal, backend.kku.edu.sa. Registration is open until Friday the 22nd of the same month.

The Dean of Admissions and Registration at the University, Dr. Saad Bin Mohammed Dajm, clarified that students have to upload a face photo, which must be up to date and in color, and 4 × 6 cm size with a white background, in jpg form.

He added that the acceptance for admission for students (male & female) will be done in three phases. The first phase involves sending SMS’s from 23 to 26 Shabban to those who obtained 80% and over for admission to a Bachelor’s Degree. In the second phase, sms’s will be sent to those who obtained between 75% and 79.99 %, on Tuesday, 4 Ramadan. Admission for the last group will be available on Tuesday, 11 Ramadan to those who obtained less than 75%, in the case of both bachelor and diploma degrees at community colleges.

Dajm explained that the admission process has 5 stages; the student receives an SMS stating that he is admitted to the university. t is a requirement to send the required documents to the university within 48 hours of receiving the sms message. This is done by logging into the admissions service in order to be familiar with all details, to confirm the sending the documents electronically, print the desired forms and sign and send the forms via Saudi post.

He also clarified that the student should go to the Saudi Post Office (University Service) and send the required documents, including the original copy of their Secondary school certificate, a copy of their ID card, and a copy of the family record, .

He reported that within 8 days of receiving the documents from the post office, an SMS will be sent, stating that the applicant had been admitted and supplying the student’s own university code, and informing him of the department for which he has been accepted based on stated preferences.

Regarding returning the files of admission, Dajm answered: it will be possible to return the files of admitted students at all times before 15 Shawwal 1435 AH. He pointed out that the student has no right to communicate with the university in this regard.
