Higher Education Council approved many developmental resolutions for the University
HE King Khalid University President, Professor Abdulrahman Bin Hamid Al-Dawood, on behalf of all the university employees thanked and appreciated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, the Chairman of Prime Minister and Higher Education Council on his approval of many developmental resolutions for King Khalid University which were taken by Higher Education Council in its 74th session. The resolutions included the approval of establishment of Sciences and Arts College in Rejal Almae governorate which will contain 9 scientific departments; Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English Language, Applied Medical Sciences, Computer, Information Systems, Media and Communication, in addition to establishing departments for administrative Sciences and accounting in Sciences and Arts College at Ahad Rafidah and accounting department in Sciences and Arts College at Sarat Ubidah, and moving the two departments of Computer Sciences and Information Systems in Girls Sciences College in Abha to Computer Sciences College besides the approval of establishment of University Vice Presidency for health Specialities.
HE added that this approval comes within our leadership care to go on its path in supporting Higher Education in the Kingdom and providing all necessities the students in different regions and governorates may need, the thing that definitely contributes in enabling Higher Education Institutes to take their expected role. He clarified that Higher Education is witnessing great developmental leaps and this is an evidence of the wise vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier and their permanent quest to make the Kingdom a lighthouse of science could be a destination for science seekers. He also thanked honestly His Royal Highness, Price Faisal Bin Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz, Asir Region Governor for his care and interest and permanent follow-up to the university and the development processes in it.
