His Royal Highness Asir Province Governor, Faisal Bin Khalid did a visit to the corner of King Khalid University which was participating in the National Celebration for Heritage and Culture ( Al- Janadriah 29) within Asir heritage village. In the corner, there were a number of publications for the teaching staff at the university besides a video to all achievements done during last years.
On his behalf, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Bin Hamid Al-Dawood appreciated this visit and said, " The Prince’s follow up has the big effect on succeeding the actions of the corner"
He added, " We keen on attending such celebration because we believe in what it presented out of social gathering and through it the university could show up itself to people via a big corner that reflects regularly the prominent achievements done on all levels, both academic and cultural.
His Excellency, during the visit, listened to a detailed explanation about the University City project and the stages of discharging. Also, he has a look on what the university provides for its students in the region and he watches a video narrating the university history.
It is worth mentioning that the exhibition was heavily visited by people from Asir region and it was a good chance for the university corner to present a demonstration to those visitors about discharging the university city project at Al Farah and the stages implemented.
The exhibition, within its activities, includes community partnership with a number of government and private sectors. It also presents a display of university city projects and its stages of carrying out besides a number of scientific outputs of teaching staff at the university and publications of Studies and Social Researches Center in addition to brochures displaying the university projects in the university city at Al Farah.
On their behalves, the visitors praised university corner because it provides them with a resume of the big boom the university witnesses on both levels, scientific and research besides carrying out the university city project quickly which is expected to be an important lighthouse in the whole region.
