STEM JAM: Electronic Game Development Event

The King Khalid University Information Technology Administration has planned the launch of the STEM JAM activity in collaboration with the Asir Scientific Center. STEM Jam is designed for those interested in electronic game development and the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) scientific methodologies used. STEM JAM will begin on November 7, 2019, and end on November 9, 2019, with a 20-hour competition project.

The activity will have a focus that includes but is not limited to:

  • Simplifying science according to STEM methodology, which is concerned with simplifying the solution of mathematical problems and understanding scientific laws;
  • Developing innovation and creative thinking by using VR or AR;
  • Problem-solving and employing 21-century skills, such as engineering design in mathematics, explaining programming languages and linking arts to science;
  • Raising awareness of STEM methodology and employing electronic games in spreading STEM culture.
