The Clinical Laboratories Department in the College of Applied Medicine at King Khalid University in collaboration with the college's student activities club and the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Education held 'World Cancer Day' activities at Al-Rashid Mall on Saturday the 4^th of Jumādá Al-Ākhirah.

The activity included brochures, posters, and an accompanying exhibition. The main aim of the program was to spread awareness on the types of cancers and the methods to prevent them. During the activity, the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education displayed the programs offered by the deanship and the Bader Platform.

The exhibition also included the participation of a number of sponsor entities such as the Khaliya Laboratory and the Medical Care Center. The event also included recreational activities for the children of visitors to show their creativity.

Clinical Laboratory Department Head, Dr. Majid Saad Al-Fayea, explained that this event was organized to raise the level of awareness on the types of cancer in our society and methods of preventing them. He stressed that cancer is considered the number one global health issue in the field of research.
