King Khalid University, Media Center

The Deanship of Admission and Registration at King Khalid University has started to receive registration requests for the academic year 1438/1439 AH, which will continue until the 10th of next month. The registration process will be implemented electronically.

The Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdulmuhsin Al Qarni, said that admission will be fully electronic, noting that the student or guardian will not need to review the Deanship or send any documents to the university. He pointed out that the marks of competencies, attainment, and the secondary ratios will reach the university electronically in liaison with the concerned parties. He also noted the need to complete the required tests from the National Center for Measurement and to adhere to the specified registration dates.

Dr. Al Qarni stressed that the Deanship seeks to develop outstanding admission procedures by allowing for greater flexibility, which in turn allows the student to change the specialization after admission through the electronic services on the website according to the available seats in different specialties. He indicated that after initial acceptance, the applicants would be sorted on three separate stages according to the percentages of applicants, noting that the applicant to the University of King Khalid has to fill out the form himself and choose the disciplines that fit his abilities.

Dr. Al Qarni added that the qualifying percentage (secondary + Attainment + competencies) would be taken into account in the specialties of the faculties of health, engineering and computer in addition to the scientific colleges and special education for male students, and all disciplines for the female students. Furthermore, acceptance will be approved upon the balanced percentage in the theoretical disciplines for male students only.

It is noteworthy that the Deanship of Admissions and Registration at King Khalid University distributed more than 20,000 brochures about acceptance to secondary school students and places of the gathering of beneficiaries, such as tests of attainment and competencies. The Deanship also provided a paper and electronic specialties director which shows available specialties at the University and their fields of work in the future.
