The Rector sponsors the student research meeting

King Khalid University, Media Center

His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University, Dr. Faleh Bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solamy, sponsored the research meeting of the university students in the Central Stands at the university's headquarters in Abha for male students and at the Academic Complex in Al-Samer for female students. The meeting was in the presence of a number of university Vice-Presidents and deans.

Prof. Al-Solamy said, "The annual research meeting is one of the most important meetings that we should take care of at the university, and I was pleased with what I saw from the scientific output of our sons and daughters students. It is clear that we still need to intensify efforts by colleges in the coming years."

The university Rector further urged the university faculties to exert much efforts and intensify them in the field of scientific research, competitive work and unifying the efforts between them, so that there will be a research meeting at the university level. Rector Al-Solamy stressed that there will be valuable prizes for outstanding research, the best faculty, and the best department.

For his part, the Vice Dean of Student Service for Students Activities, who is also the Chairman of the Scientific Committee, Dr. Yahya bin Ali Al-Qenaie said that one of the most important objectives of this research meeting is to encourage students to do scientific research which could help in giving the opportunity for the talented students in the field of research and in raising the scientific and cultural level in addition to promoting research values. .

Al-Qenaie added that the research competition focused on three main axes, including the axis of human and social sciences, the axis of basic sciences and engineering, and the axis of health sciences, indicating that the number of researches reached 47 in different disciplines.

At the end of the meeting, winners and arbitrators were honored, followed by the start of the sessions.
