Rector sponsors the inauguration of the First Student Forum for Health Research

His Excellency, Dr. Faleh Bin Rajaa Allah Al Solamy, the Rector of King Khalid University, sponsored the inauguration of the First Student Forum for Health Research, organized by the Faculty of Medicine, represented by the University of Medicine and Creativity Club. The forum, which was held from 25 to 26 this month at the Abha Palace Hotel, was attended a large number of students from health specialties from various Saudi universities.

On his arrival, Rector Al-Solamy reviewed the venue of the forum and the exhibitions of the participating organizations. He also listened to a detailed explanation about some of the participating research posters, in addition to paying a visit to the exhibits of the participating bodies. Rector Al-Solamy honored the winners of the best researches and research posters. The award included the best three oral researches out of 12 researches. In the field of posters, the top 5 research posters were awarded out of 158 participating research posters.

The General Supervisor of the Forum, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Sulaiman Bin Mohammed Al-Humaid, welcomed His Excellency the Rector of the University and the attendees, thanking His Excellency for his continuous follow-up and support for everything that contributes to the advancement of the College and achieving its objectives in the fields of community service. Dr. Al-Humaid stressed the importance of this forum in developing the prestigious university, in achieving its objectives, and in supporting scientific research.

Dr. Al-Humaid said, "The beginning of the idea of ​​the establishment of this forum has been arisen since the College's idea of the organization of scientific research day for students in the previous year, which the research involved did not exceed 25 research. We noticed the determination and desire of our students to continue in this area, the reason pushed the college to hold this forum which has attracted a large number of students from Saudi universities to compete with their research on a large scale, which, in return, contributes to the advancement of medical progress at the level of the Kingdom in general and King Khalid University in particular" Moreover, Dr. Al-Humaid valued the efforts of all those were in charge of this forum who were from various departments of the University, commending their efforts in the success of this event.
