The talented of the University achieve 3 International Awards at the Geneva Innovation Fair

King Khalid University, represented by the Center for Talent and Entrepreneurship, obtained three advanced awards in the fields of medical inventions, computers and information technology in the 45th round of Geneva International Innovation Exhibition that was held in Geneva, Switzerland.

The student, Huda Abaq won the gold medal in the branch of medical inventions. She invented a device to measure blood sugar by breathing. Student Abdullah Al-Halafy won the silver medal in the computer branch for an invention of the electronic card. Student Mazen Al-Bassami obtained the bronze medal in the Information Technology Branch, for creating a smart refrigerator.

His Excellency, Dr. Ahmed Al-Jubaili, the Vice-President for Development and Quality, congratulated the winners for their success at the global level, stressing the importance of these exhibitions and activities for all students, as well as creating realistic opportunities for applying their ideas and linking their academic disciplines and innovation. As well as self-confidence and the ability to present their ideas effectively.

He said, "These partnerships will allow them to learn about international experiences and contribute to their role in the overall development of the Kingdom and enhance their ability to compete internationally" he added, " These efforts come in line with Saudi Arabia's directions. This is confirmed by the vision of the Kingdom of 2030 which united the efforts and provided an active and effective academic environment in which all university employees strive to achieve national, regional, and international excellence.
