The events of the 9^th meeting of the deans of research and consulting institutes in Saudi universities were concluded. The meeting was held recently on the campus of Al Magmah University, under the theme "The role of research and consulting institutes in achieving the vision of the Kingdom, 2030" The event was attended by deans, agents, and representatives of research and consulting institutes in Saudi universities.

King Khalid University was represented, in the meeting, by the Dean of Research and Advisory Studies Institute, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Hadithi, who reported that he several hearings had permeated the meeting. The first was about the role of research and consulting institutes in Saudi universities in achieving the 2030 vision of the Kingdom. The second session dealt with the difficulties and challenges facing the work of institutes, while the third focused on the areas of cooperation between research and consulting institutes in Saudi universities. The fourth session put forward proposed projects to diversify institutes resources and ways of development.

It is worth mentioning that the events of the meeting were concluded with the announcement of the final statement and recommendations as well. Recommendations included to work on the development of positive cooperation mechanisms among institutes, in addition to encouraging alliances between research and consulting institutes in Saudi universities, and taking care of the exchange of experiences among these institutes to overcome the difficulties and challenges they may face, the thing which would increases the chances of success in achieving objectives and carry out missions.
