King Khalid University, Media Center

On the sidelines of the 5th health awareness and educational program, which is being organized by King Khalid University during the period from 8 to 13 of this month, in Rijal Alma'e province in Alharidh Center, the Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the guidance department, has established an anti-smoking clinic. This is the first time for Student Affairs Deanship to take part in the program.

The clinic Supervisor, the social worker, Musa Alnaja'e revealed modern therapeutic techniques used in the clinic, which contributed to helping those seeking to quit smoking. The new technique is called (Silver Spike point).

Alnaja'e also clarified that the device launches electromagnetic vibrations through the body to stimulate the pituitary gland to the secretion of endorphins, which serve as the nicotine in the body of the one who wants to quit smoking, thus he no longer feels a headache, dizziness, or disorientation. Alnaja'e explained that endorphin is a natural substance secreted by the body and has no damage or bad effects at all, and natural body secretes it consistently over a lifetime. But the nicotine in the body of the smoker causes stopping the secretion of endorphin pushing the body to depend on a harmful nicotine as a substitute for natural useful Endorphin. Treatment by Silver Spike point takes six sessions, a session per day for half an hour.

Alnaja'e added that the clinic received more than 2,000 cases and 800 cases from the University have already quit smoking.
