A study issued in the University recommends establishing Prince Faisal bin Khalid's Quality Center

A team from King Khalid University (KKU) has met with His Excellency the Vice-President of Asir Region Emirate, Mr. Sulliman Algreish and a number of the Emirate employees. The meeting was within the cooperation done between the two entities about a study which is being carried out by the Consulting Studies and Researches Institute of King Khalid University. The study has recommended establishing Prince Faisal bin Khalid's Center for Quality and the Governmental Performance Improvement. The study aims at helping governmental authorities to apply the concepts of the comprehensive quality through the internal change as well as participating in improving performance on a regular basis.

The Center which was recommended by the Emirate of Asir region aims to spread, in the region, the culture of quality, its applications, and its standards as long as the quality is a strategic choice needed to improve performance level and the provided services so as to benefit all the people of the region. The center intends to hold workshops, seminars, lectures, in addition to some specialized studies. The center also intends to activate training, to spread the culture of quality and supporting its application by the governmental authorities of Asir region in addition to qualifying human cadres in the field of quality and finally encouraging integration among governmental authorities.

For his part, the Dean of the Consulting Studies and Research Institute at King Khalid University, Dr. Abdulatif Alhedithi expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid for his leading idea to establish this center, which will definitely help in rooting the concepts of the comprehensive quality and to join it to governmental services and the performance management. Dean Alhedithi further thanked the Emirate Vice-President for the cooperation and support to the project. Alhedithi concluded his statement thanking the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Solamy who supervises carefully this study and who harness all needed potential for the team of the study so as to they would be able to reach the desirable results and achieve the ambitious goals of the study, God willing.
