Asir Governor sponsors a symposium for the small and medium-sized enterprises.

His Royal Highness, the Governor of Asir region, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, is sponsoring a symposium for the small and medium-sized enterprises within the new system of corporations. The symposium is organized by governance center of the King Khalid University (KKU), and is talking place from 27 to 28 of the current month, with Abha Palace Hotel as its venue.

On the occasion, the Rector of King Khalid University, who is the general supervisor on the symposium, His Excellency, Prof. Faleh bin raja Allah Al Solamy, has appreciated the efforts of His Royal Highness - the Governor of Asir Region - for sponsorship the symposium, which reflects His Excellency's interest in supporting university's scientific activities and programs. Rector Al Solamy confirmed that conference aims at introducing the governance center of the KKU, and the activation of the relationship between the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the General Authority for Small and Medium-sized enterprises. The conference also seeks to introduce the new system of corporations which was issued recently by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, to provide a deep thinking of the reason for establishing the General Authority for Small and Medium-sized facilities, in addition to checking closely the real condition of the small and medium-sized enterprises, and how they could add to the national economy.

For his part, the KKU Vice - President for Academic and Educational Affairs, who is also the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Symposium, Prof. Mohammed Al Hassoun, has confirmed that the symposium was intended to discuss various important pivots. He said, "We hope to achieve the desired goals of establishing this symposium. We hope to show off the pivots which are represented in the following: corporation's new system, obstacles of activation and its impact on small and medium-sized enterprises, economic impact on the small and medium-sized enterprises after activating governance, in addition to the role of the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountant (SOCPA) in applying corporate's new system."

Prof. Al Hassoun added that pivot of the role of organizing entities which supports small and medium-sized enterprises was going to handle the role of the General Commission of small and medium-sized enterprises and challenges. Concerning the real condition of the small and medium-sized enterprises and developmental horizons within Vision 2030, it will show off the successful experiences of small and medium-sized enterprises and the challenges. This pivot also discusses these facilities' role in achieving the desired economic development. Finally, the symposium will discuss the pivot of Saudi universities' and educational institutions' role in achieving entrepreneurship.

For his part, the Chairman of the Scientific Committee, Dr. Sultan Al Farah, has confirmed that the attendance of His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid - the Governor of Asir region - was a great honor. He further explained that it was not strange the attendance of His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal, as he always supports the KKU in particular and the whole region in general. Dr. Al Farah used the occasion to state that the symposium would not serve only Asir region but all those who are interested in the topic, in the whole Kingdom. He added that some spokesmen, professional, and academician would participate in the symposium. In addition, the symposium would be accompanied by a number of training workshops, he said. Finally, Dr. Al Farah did not forget to thank His Excellency - the Rector of KKU - for his unwavering support and continuous follow-up.
