Rector sponsors the closing ceremony of the 3rd version of the Cultural Olympiad events.

His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Solamy, has sponsored the conclusion ceremony of the 3rd version of the Cultural Olympiad, which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs. The Olympiad included a number of different areas.

Upon his arrival to the closing ceremony of the occasion, His Excellency the President immediately inaugurated the accompanying exhibit, which included five areas in which students competed with more than 150 pictures. There were different kinds of arts such as fine arts, photography, calligraphy, as well as digital art, and caricature.

After that, the ceremony began with a theatrical presentation by a number of university talented students, and then there was a welcome operetta, delivered by university students from Al Namas branch. Two poems were delivered by the students, welcoming His Excellency - the President - and the attendees.

On this occasion, President Al Solamy, gave a speech in which he clarified that that Olympiad had a significant impact on the hearts of students because it lets them compete among themselves to reach the degree of creativity. The President stressed that all participants in the Olympiad were creative and the university is proud of them. He further thanked the Deanship of Student Affairs on the good organization, and congratulated the winners who achieved advanced places. He said, "The University will spare no effort in supporting talented and creative students in their different fields."

For his part, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Merra' Al Habash, used the occasion to explain that the organization of such events was just for building the student's personality, and for guiding him / her optimally. The Olympiad is not just a competition, but a chance for the students to build confidence in them and in their potentials.

The results of the colleges were as follows:

Medical School achieved the first place, while the Faculty of Sharia achieved the second place.

In community service, a student from Medical school, called Majid Subaie, came in the first place, and the second place was won by, a student from the College of Humanities named Abdullah Al-Obaid, while a student from dental college - Ahmed Al Mjthel - won the third place.

In the Holy Quran Competition, Badr Asiri, a student from the Faculty of Law won the first place. The second place was won by Merhi Asiri, from the Faculty of Medicine, while the third place went to a student - Abdul Rahman Al-Asiri - from the Faculty of Sharia.

In the most dulcet recitation competition, Badr Asiri, a student from the Faculty of Law, won the first place, Zafer Al Shehri, a student from the Faculty of Medicine, came in the second place, while the third place went to Seif Alelyani, from the Faculty of Sharia.

In the Sunnah Competition, student Abdul Aziz Al-Jasser, from the Faculty of Medicine, obtained the first place, and in second place came student - Yusef Al Ahmari - from the Faculty of Pharmacy, while the third place went to Mohsen Ibrahim, a student from the Faculty of Sharia.

In the area of oratory, student Feisal Abdul Salateen, from the Faculty of Medicine, obtained the first place, while the student Abdul Rahman Qthomh, from the Faculty of Medicine, got the second place, and in third place came Salim bin Said, from the Faculty of Humanities.

In the competition, "Explain", student Mohammed Al-Zaidi, from the Faculty of Medicine, won the first place, while student Ahmed Al Adawi, from the School of Computer, came in second place, and the third place was obtained by Ali Al Shehri, from the Faculty of Sharia.

In the area of "poetic nip and tuck", student Mohammed Asiri, from the Medical School, won the first place, and in second place came Zafer Ahmari,from the Faculty of Sharia, while the student Abdullah Al-Hazmi, from the Faculty of Sharia, came in the third.

In eloquent poetry competition, student Abdullah Al-Hazmi, from the Faculty of Law, obtained the first place, and the second place was won by Saad Al-Qahtani, from the Faculty of Law, while the third place was obtained by Abdul Rahman Qthomh, from the Faculty of Medicine.

In documentaries competition, the first and third places were withdrawn while the second place was won by Ibrahim, from the Faculty of Humanities.

In the field of calligraphy, student Saud Al Edwani, from the Faculty of Law, obtained the first place, and the second place was obtained by Atef Hassan, from the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, while the third place was achieved by student - Nawaf Al Habi - from the Faculty of Medicine.

In the field of fine arts, Ala Juma, a student from the Faculty of Engineering, won the first place, and Hezam Al Shahrani from community college won the second place, while the third place was achieved by Ayed Al Qarni, a student from the Faculty of Dentistry.

In the area of cartoon, Turki Al-Qahtani, a student from the Faculty of Medicine, won the first place, and came in second place was the Student Waleed Al basher, from the Faculty of Medicine, and student Ali Al Shehri, from the community college, achieved the third place.

In photography, student Mohammed Abu Seraj, from the Faculty of Medicine, won the first place, and the student Abdullah Al Hyavh, from the Faculty of Pharmacy, achieved the second place, and the third place was obtained by Yasser Shaker, a student from the Faculty of Humanities.

In the studio photography, Hezam Al Shahrani, a student from the Community College, won the first place, and the student Abdullah Ali, from the Faculty of Pharmacy achieved second place, while third place was achieved by student Abdullah Fareq, from the School of Computer.

In the field of digital art and designs, student Ahmed Al Mjthel, from the Faculty of Dentistry, obtained the first place, while the student Abdullah Al Hyavh, from the Faculty of Pharmacy, achieved the second place, and the third place was won by student Faris Al-Zahrani, from the Faculty of Medicine.

In the field of theater, the first place was won by student Mohammed Al Jaid, from the Faculty of Science, and student Abdul Wahab Al Ahmari, from the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences came in the second place, while coming in third place was student Abdullah Al Shehri, from the Faculty of Sharia.
