University launches the third edition of the Cultural Olympiad.

King Khalid University (KKU), represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, will, next month, launch the third edition of the Cultural Olympiad for the students of the university. The events of the Olympiad are going to take place during the period from 6 to 8 / 3 / 1438 AH. The venue will be at the headquarters of the University City in Al Guriager. There will be both individual and collective competitions.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Merra'e Al Habash, has explained that the third edition of the cultural Olympiad would be different from the last two editions, which achieved a remarkable success and a large turnout from the students. Dr. Al Habash said, "Students will compete in 20 different tournaments; 17 individual tournaments and 3 collective tournaments. The individual tournaments are the Holy Quran, the most dulcet recitation, the Sunnah, declamation, explanation, poetic confrontation, eloquent poetry, Napati poetry, documentaries, calligraphy, plastic art, cartooning, photography, "Photography, digital art "designs" 60 seconds, and the theater is for you. The 3 collective competitions are the cultural competition, recitational operetta, and community service. Some of these are within the competitions of the Kingdom's competitive scientific conference for students in higher education"

Also, Dr. Al Habash has stressed that these competitions were chosen carefully to fit students' abilities, skills, and talents so as to attract them. The Olympiad is a start to make the students bold enough to participate in other competitions at the level of the Saudi and international universities.

Earlier, the Deanship has invited all the students to participate in the Olympiad in order to implant in them the spirit of competing with each other in various involved fields, and to achieve the desired results from the organization of such a cultural event. The Deanship has also announced that there would be 17 individual competitions and 3 collective competitions.
