The faculty is participating in the activities that are being held in malls by holding an awareness corner for medications. The corner is directed to the elderly people to highlight the importance of health and pharmaceutical care for them.

On this occasion, the Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Sayari, explained that the participation of the Faculty of Pharmacy in such activities was in recognition of this segment who has earlier provided a valuable service to the community. Thus, all segments of society must provide care for them and must thank them for their contribution to their families, to their community, and to their country. Dr. Al Sayari added that the participation of the Faculty of Pharmacy proved that the Faculty of Pharmacy was interested in all community programs that are provided by various government sectors. He continued, "This event comes to highlight the interest in the elderly people and how to reintegrate them into the society, and to participate in their interests, to listen to their challenges, and to find the appropriate solutions to whatever may be their problems." The Dean also stressed that the Faculty was pleased to participate in such events, believing in the social role of the Faculty, and because of the fact that "our religion calls for the provision of care in all aspects to this precious category - the elderly people".
