Medical College in the University organizes a course of pre-clinical years.

The Vice President for health specialties at King Khalid University (KKU), Dr. Khalid Al Jalban, has, yesyerday, sponsored the closing ceremony of the course (pre-clinical years). The course was organized by Medical School for it students. The course was attended by more than 60 students from the college. Dr. Al Jalban mentioned in his speech at the occasion, that such courses have a significant role in the development of the university students' skills behaviorally and cognitively. He added, "this training course should be held annually and the university will spare no effort in supporting such courses that develop the student's skills professionally and educationally." For his part, the Dean in-charge of the Medical College, Dr. Ali Al Qahtani, has clarified that, "the course will highly improve the professional capacity of the students during the vacation and will be an investment of their time in improving the scientific and practical side by focusing on the skills of clinical examination." From his side, the supervisor of the course, Dr. Zafar Al Amari, has explained that the course was held to prepare college students on the clinical years. Moreover, it aims to prepare them also to start their first semester in the second part of their academic year in which the college students will begin their career in the clinical years. They will approach and learn the medical examination skills, the basics of dealing with patients and hospital cases. It is noteworthy that this course had lasted for eight days and was supervised by a number of faculty members from the Faculty of Medicine.
