A delegation from the university to discuss ways of cooperation with Valley Mecca of Technology

A delegation from the King Khalid University (KKU) paid a visit to Valley Mecca of Technology to have a look on the technical experience of the valley of Mecca and on the current projects so as to discuss ways of cooperation and partnership in the field of entrepreneurship, development and optimum utilization of such experiments.

The delegation was received by Mr. Oussama El Omari, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Valley Mecca of Technology who presented a detailed explanation - to the visitors - of the sections and branches of the company. Mr. El Omari emphasized that the company contributes effectively to the development of the knowledge-based economy through a partnership between educational and research institutions and the business community. He also added that the purpose of such cooperation was to transfer and to indigenize technology, and to develop it to serve the national economy and to achieve sustainable development, in addition to providing a stimulating and attractive environment for R & D centers (Research and Development) in the local and international companies to strengthen cooperation with the university, and the development of scientific activity and commercial transformation of scientific research and innovation. El Omari also explained that work was continuous to get the ultimate benefit of the output of scientific research and innovation, turning them into economic payoff products.

The delegation of the University included Dr. Ibrahim Al-Asmari, the Supervisor General of Investment Management, Dr. Salim Al-Elyani, the CIO (Chief Information Officer), Dr. Mohammad Al Maghrabi, the Director of talent and creativity center, and Mr. Fahad bin Nomah, the Supervisor General of Media Centre and official spokesman of the university.
