University launches the events of the 2nd Cultural Olympiad.

King Khalid University (KKU), represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, will launch the second edition events of the Cultural Olympiad. The events will take place at the headquarters of University City in Al-Gereger, from 28/4/1437 to 1/5/1437 AH.

On this remarkable occasion, the deanship is inviting all students to vie in the various fields that are proposed during the Olympiad, in order to achieve the desired results from the establishment of such a cultural event. Moreover, the Deanship declared the presence of 17 individual competitions, and three different group competitions. The Deanship also identified Wednesday, the 17th of the next month as the date for the receipt of forms for participation, for works of art, and for videos, as well as for areas in which colleges will participate in, so as to be presented to the jury.

For his part, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Merraa Al-Habash, has explained that the Olympiad, in its second year, would appear in a new costume, after the distinctive successes achieved by the first release of the Olympiad and the great turnout witnessed by all students. The Dean said, "students will compete in 20 different areas, including 17 individual areas which are Quran best recitation, the Sunnah, delivery of poetry, explanation, poetic nip and tuck, eloquent poetry, poetry, documentaries, calligraphy, plastic art, cartooning, photography, plastic photography, digital art – designs (60 seconds the stage is yours). In addition to group competitions, which are (Cultural Competition, recitational operetta, and community service), some of which are within the competitions of the competitive Scientific Conference for students in higher education in the Kingdom." Dr. Al-Habash clarified that those areas were chosen carefully to fit the capabilities, skills, and talents of the students, to attract them, and to contain their talents, adding further that, "The aim of these competitions is to get the students of King Khalid University ready for participating in other competitions at the level of Saudi international universities.
