Rector: Islamic military coalition against terrorism is one of Saudi Islamic successes.

His Excellency the President of both King Khalid University (KKU) and the University of Bisha, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, has praised the declaration of Saudi Arabia to form a military Islamic coalition, and to be led by the Kingdom of the Saudi Arabia, to fight against terrorism.

President Al Dawood said, "day after day, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia affirms to the world that it is the destination of Islam, justice, humanity and compassion, and that its wise policies and strategic vision reflect leadership in achieving justice and its desire to spread peace." His Excellency the University President is of the belief that Islamic countries efforts to combat the scourge of terrorism and thwart its plans requires unification under one leadership. To achieve this goal, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia declared Islamic military coalition based on the principles and objectives of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which calls for Member States to cooperate to combat terrorism in all its forms.

Prof. Al Dawood added that that blessed step of the kingdom came under such difficult conditions being experienced by the world in general, and the Muslim parts of the world in particular. The step also has confirmed the regional and international position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its ability to lead the Islamic world, to form an immense force to fight against all terroristic organizations which bring continuous suffering to the Muslim world in particular. The move was also to prove to the whole world that Saudi Arabia will spare no effort in the fight against terrorism in all its forms and means.

The President of KKU also stressed that the Kingdom's successive successes against terrorist organizations, as well as its addressing of intellectual and security issues, made the country the most capable one to lead a global coalition of more than 34 Islamic states to fight extremist ideas militarily, intellectually, and via the media. At the end of his statement, President Al Dawood prayed to God to let the Kingdom succeed in its efforts, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, king Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz, and the Deputy Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz - may God save them all - The Rector also prayed to God to perpetuate grace, safety, peace and security upon the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the world over.
