A lecture on academic and psychological counseling.

The Deanship of Admission and Registration has organized, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs of King Khalid University (KKU), a lecture on academic psychological counseling. The lecture was presented by both the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Saeed Al-Farah, and His Excellency, the head of Unit of guidance and Counseling, Dr. Saeed Al –Ahmari. The venue of the lecture was in the University Theatre in Aljrejer.The occasion was witnessed by a large turnout of university students.

Dr. Al Farah used the occasion to clarify that the university dealt professionally with its students over the past years, saying that "the deanship is a key partner for the student in his or her academic pursuit at the university". He added, "The deanship of Admission and Registration is the first entity that welcomes the student, starting with admission and throughout his / her study period through diverse actions." Dr. Al Farah spoke about "academia" website, which provides students with academic services. There were also some PowerPoint presentations for the website. The Dean explained everything related to students regarding the benefits that are being given to them during their study in the university. He also presented a detailed explanation for the academic services offered by the deanship such as apology service, delay, and other academic issues. Furthermore, he also explained that the student could communicate with the deanship via a service called "Twasol". Through this service, a student can communicate with the dean of admission and Registration, with the deanship Vice - Presidents, and with the Heads of Departments.

For his turn, the head of the Unit of Counseling and guidance, Dr. Saeed Al –Ahmari confirmed that the unit was providing a number of outreach services, such as medical consultations, and free treatment and services for smokers. Moreover, the Unit provides a full range of outreach and consulting medical services and treatment services, in addition to clinics of psychiatry and psychotherapy (CBT) and other services.
