21 researches for the Computer Sciences College at the 11th Scientific Day, at the University.

Within the activities of the 11th Annual Scientific Research Days which is being organized by the King Khalid University (KKU) in the academic year 1436/1437 AD, a considerable number of the teaching staff of the Computer Sciences College participated yesterday on the activities with 21 scientific researches. The activities started with a brief introduction about the necessity of holding such activities, which was presented by the Chairman of the Scientific Research Unit at the Computer Science College, Prof. Galal Akyshi. After that, the Dean of the College gave a speech in which he clarified the importance of the scientific research. The Dean further added that scientific research "is the main core of any current technical development in any area". Then, the teaching staff of the Computer Science College started presenting their distinguished researches in different fields. The presentation was conducted through 4 main sessions, with each session being headed by the Director of the specialization. The meeting was organized and coordinated by both the Computer Sciences College and the Deanship of the Scientific Research, under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabaa. The meeting was attended by a number of the College's Vice - Presidents, Heads of Department, as well as a number of the teaching staff and students.

In the same context, the Research Center at the College of Engineering, in collaboration with the Scientific Research Deanship, held the celebration of the Scientific Research Day. The celebration took place at the Central Stands in the University.

The event started with a word given by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Ibrahim Falki in which he clarified the necessity to elevate the position of scientific research for the academicians at the University, so as to motivate researchers, whether they are members of the teaching staff or they are students, to conduct creative qualitative researches, which in turn will help greatly in enriching knowledge and community services.

After that, researchers presented their works, which centered on the environment and on renewable energies. Researchers stressed the importance of the renewable energy which is taken from natural resources and which takes part in protecting nature. Finally, the attendees took time around, to check the research posters on show, and to listen to an explanation by the researchers of the College.
