Sabic applies to support research projects.

His Excellency the President of King Khalid University Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Dawood has inaugurated a workshop entitled "Success Partners". The workshop was organized by the Deanship of Admission and Registration and took place in the Central Stands at the University Headquarters in Abha.

The workshop was attended by the University Vice - Presidents, a number of deans and heads of departments, and a number of deans and heads of departments of women colleges who attended the event from Women's Hall in the Faculty of Medicine in the University City.

During his speech on this occasion, President Al-Dawood explained that what Admission and Registration Deanship was presenting of the new electronic services was considered a source of pride for all employees of the university. The President said, "The Services provided by the Deanship are found only in our University, as there is no other university that offers something similar to what Admission and Registration Deanship of King at the University is presenting, even by 10%." President Al Dawood also added, "what our country enjoys in general, and King Khalid University in particular, of large and sustained support by our wise leadership, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul aziz Al Saud - may God protect him - and his Crown Prince, his royal highness prince Muqrin bin Abdul Aziz, his Deputy Crown prince, his royal highness prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz, and the Governor of Asir region, his royal highness prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, has a great impact on the educational march." The President further expressed his happiness to the visit of Sabic representatives to the University, especially when they requested to support the teaching staff's and students' researches. Regarding this issue, the Rector said, "We met sabic representatives without prior arrangement. They initiated spontaneously auspices request to a number of researches which could serve the community."

The workshop also witnessed a discussion about the new academic powers for the electronic academic system and how it is used. The system provides powers to the dean of the faculty in order to know the student's academic data and to calculate any other additional opportunities, with the review and implementation of the student's request to modify marks. The system also provides powers to the heads of departments, to the academic advisor, and to college's registrars. The new services also included the possibility to modify the student's mark through the Portal, and to accept students' mark through the academic system. In addition to the terms of the foreign equations where the faculty member has the right to approve the foreign equations through his/her account. Moreover, the new services of Admissions and Registration Deanship provide a service to approve the visitor student's request by the department head through the academic system for the Deanship.

On the other hand, the President honored the former deans of Admission and Registration. They are Dr. Saeed Riffa, Dr. Mari Al-Qahtani, Dr. Saad bin Dajm. Also, the President honored a number of employees who worked at the Deanship and who exerted distinctive efforts during their career in the deanship. The Deanship also launched a WhatsApp service for automated guidance on the number 055 281 115.

For his part, the Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Sultan AlFaraa stated that the provision of electronic services serves more than 75,000 students, while the actions to modify schedules on the academic system exceeded 3 million, and the followers of the deanship twitter account reached more than 22,000, thus making King Khalid University the second University in the Kingdom regarding followers to Admission and Registration accounts.
