University celebrates with, and honors retired officers.

Under the patronage of the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, the Deanship of faculty and staff members today (Monday 2/7/1436 AH) conducted a ceremony in honor of the retired officers who had served in the university up to the current year (1436 AH). The ceremony was to honor the retired officers for harnessing their times and efforts to serve the nation in general, and then to serve this edifice - King Khalid University.

In his speech, Rector Al-Dawood welcomed and honored all the retired officers, appreciating all what they had offered during their career, which lasted for many years. He said, "Honoring you is our duty, owing to the special effort you had done to your dear country first, and then to your university. You deserve praise, honor and appreciation." He explained, at the end of his speech, that all of the services that were provided by the University to its stakeholders will continue to be submitted to them after retirement. He concluded saying, "Do not forget your university"

For his part, the Dean of the faculty members and staff, Dr. Abdullah bin Hadi Al-Qahtani gave a word in which he thanked the Rector, who always gives all supports to all employees of the university. He also thanked those in attendance. He appreciated and valued attending the ceremony, which is considered a touch of loyalty to those who had worked in the University for all what they had Offered during their career, a career that was full of hard work.

At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Hezbollah Al-selmi, the former Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation gave a word on behalf of retired officers. In his speech, Dr. Alselmi thanked the Rector and the holders of the event, expressing his overwhelming happiness about that kind gesture. He said, "Honoring us today is an evidence on your loyalty, which is not surprising at our university."
