A delegation consisting of students and faculty members of the media and communications Department at the Faculty of Humanities of King Khalid University arranged a visit to the Ministry of Culture and Information branch in the eastern region to be familiar with it and its workflow mechanisms. Professor Majid Mohammed Al-Babtain of the ministry received the delegation, which listened to an explanation about the branch and the works it carries out. The visit also included visiting the Saudi Press Agency, the Law Department and Umm Al-Qura newspaper office, which is affiliated to the Ministry.

The visit program also included a visit to Alyaum and AlSharq newspapers, where the visitors were briefed on experience of the media house since inception, in addition to tracking their printed and electronic press works. The delegation also had a look on the main editing halls in order to have a look at work mechanisms in general. The visitors were received by AlSharq Newspaper Deputy Chairman, Editor Mohammed Al-Shammari and Alyaum Deputy Editor Newspaper, Suleiman Abu Hussein. The visit comes within the training and practical programs offered by the university represented by the College of Humanities, for their students to learn about media work within closer range.
