On behalf of His Excellency, the Minister of Education, the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami headed the seventh meeting of the University Council for 1446H. The Secretary General of the Council for Universities Affairs, Prof. Bassam bin Abdullah Al-Bassam was in attendance alongside University Council members.

The University Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Council Secretary, Prof. Hamid bin Majdou’ Al-Qarni, explained that the council discussed various topics and approved the proper recommendations regarding them.

The Council approved the international student admission program, and approved admission to the summer program for 1446H, in addition to approving scholarships, extensions, and terminations. As well as appointing TAs and lecturers, and granting academic degrees to students.

In terms of academic programs, the Council approved the establishment of a number of medical fellowship programs. The proposal to establish a scientific association called the (Saudi Society of Food Security) was approved by the Council.

In terms of finances and administration, the university approved the final accounts for the fiscal year 2024, and approved the final accounts of the Student Fund for the fiscal year 2024. Furthermore, policies and procedures for promoting and protecting academic integrity at King Khalid University were also approved.
