King Khalid University Students Secure Second Place in the Architecture and Construction Track at the "Campusathon" Initiative

As part of the "Campusathon" initiative launched by King Abdulaziz University under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, a team of students from the College of Architecture and Planning at King Khalid University achieved a remarkable accomplishment by securing second place in the Architecture and Construction track. The team was selected from 35 shortlisted teams, chosen from over 1,500 entries from various Saudi universities.

Dr. Ahmed bin Ali bin Da’ajam, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Development at the College of Architecture and Planning, praised the students’ efforts, emphasizing that this achievement reflects their excellence and creativity.

The "Campusathon" initiative is a pioneering step toward developing university campuses and enhancing the quality of life, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030. It aims to provide innovative and sustainable design solutions to improve the university environment.

The initiative focuses on five main tracks: Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design, Architecture and Construction, Geomatics Systems and Artificial Intelligence, and Interior Spaces and Products. This event serves as an ideal platform for exchanging ideas and fostering collaboration among Saudi universities.

These efforts are part of the College of Architecture and Planning’s commitment to fostering creativity and innovation among its students and providing an educational environment that supports their skill development and academic aspirations.
