As a reflection of its strategic direction to keep pace with technological developments and enhance the digital skills of its students, King Khalid University, represented by the Vice-Presidency for Academic Affairs, has approved a general course on artificial intelligence to be a mandatory university requirement for all students.

This course aims to develop awareness of artificial intelligence technologies and their various applications, in addition to enhancing students' analytical and creative thinking skills, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on digital transformation and innovation in various fields.

The Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, explained that the inclusion of this course comes in response to the requirements of the labor market, where artificial intelligence has become a fundamental element in many vital sectors, such as industry, health, education, and government services. The course will enable students to understand the basics of artificial intelligence, its ethics, and practical applications, thereby enhancing their competitive opportunities in the future.

Ibn Dajam added that the university is keen to develop curricula according to the latest academic and technical standards, noting that the course will be presented using modern teaching methods, including interactive lectures, practical exercises, and practical projects that help students explore the potential of artificial intelligence in their specializations and develop their digital skills.
