KKU President Honors Winners of the Founding Day Competition
As part of the university’s programs and events commemorating Founding Day, His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami, attended the awards ceremony on Wednesday, recognizing the winners of the Founding Day Competition. The competition was organized by the Asir Regional History Center at KKU in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs.
The competition featured multiple historical categories and saw significant participation from university students. During the ceremony, His Excellency, alongside Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani, Dean of Student Affairs, and Dr. Ali Al-Qutb, Director of the Asir Regional History Center, honored the winning students.
In the first category, “A Captivating Image of Founding Day,” the winners were Maha Al-Naami, Manar Asiri, Jumana Trad, Razan Al-Hanbout, Lujain Al-Shahrani, Mazen Al-Hawashi, Abrar Al-Qahtani, and Al-Jawhara Al-Shahrani.
For the second category, “Best Essay on Founding Day,” the winners included Afnan Al-Zahrani, Amal Al-Wadie, and Saeed Al-Ghamdi.
Meanwhile, in the third category, “Founding Day Trivia Questions,” the awardees were Shafia Al-Qahtani, Ghala Al-Omari, Hajar Al-Qahtani, Saad Al-Shahrani, Sara Al-Hasania, Mesfer Al-Qahtani, Atheer Asiri, Taif Al-Maqtof, Zahraa Asiri, Rania Asiri, Shaimaa Al-Qasim, and Maram Al-Asmari.
This competition reflects the university’s commitment to deepening students' awareness of the Kingdom’s history and fostering national pride through cultural and educational initiatives that strengthen their connection to Saudi Arabia’s rich historical heritage.
