KKU President Launches the Endowment Library and Academic Initiatives Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the College of Sharia and Religion Fundamentals

His Excellency, University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, launched the Endowments Library, and a number of academic initiatives at the College of Sharia and Religion Fundamentals, at the University City in Al-Fara’a.
At the start of the ceremony, the Dean of the College of Sharia and Religion Fundamentals, Prof. Mohammad bin Ali Al-Qarni, welcomed the attendees, saying, "Welcome to this momentous day. His Excellency will launch a number of events, academic support programs, community participation, initiatives to enable educational policies, and some of the college's facilities," noting that this coincides with the 50th anniversary of the college's establishment; stressing that it has been decades of knowledge building, scientific rooting, research and community participation.
Al-Qarni continued, "This college, with its two sections and nineteen programs, embraces four thousand students in various disciplines of Sharia sciences, including more than a thousand international students from more than 50 nationalities around the world, and the college is working to complete the academic accreditation for the rest of its programs; as the academic departments are working on a number of new graduate programs and are targeting an international bachelor's degree program in a blended learning mode."
During the visit, the University President launched a number of academic programs and initiatives that enhance academic support and knowledge enrichment; including the Academic Support Unit for Graduate Students, developmental workshops for scientific research, the Quranic Week initiative, the media initiative "Quranic Lights", and the Judicial Support Office.
His Excellency also inaugurated the College's Endowment Library of Prof. Yahya bin Abdullah Al-Bakri Al-Shehri, which includes more than 10,000 volumes and 300 scientific theses, the initiative to develop the sports activities hall, the professional advisor, and the empowerment of educational policies, in addition to the Itqan program, the study of administrative judiciary systems, the marketing campaign for the Charitable Fund to support scholarship students' programs at the university and the electronic store, and the development of the sports activities hall.
