President of King Khalid University emphasizes the importance of Cooperation among Arab universities at the Arab Classification Ceremony 2024

During his speech at the 2024 Arab Universities Classification Ceremony, His Excellency, President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, expressed that this ceremony represents an effective step towards strengthening integration among Arab universities, In addition to opening new opportunities of cooperation with prestigious and diverse universities. He explained that current global challenges confirm the importance of joint action and keeping pace with developments, in addition to the distinguished efforts made by the Arab leaders, the League of Arab States, the Union of Arab Universities, unions and entities, and the universities.

Al-Solami expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness, the Governor of Asir, Head of Asir Development Authority, His Royal Highness, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, for his generous sponsorship of the ceremony, and for His Highness' support and assistance to honor distinguished universities in the Arab classification and the Future Directions Forum from the University Agency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research began, stressing His Highness's desire in hosting rich and unique events that hold weight and depth, in addition to honoring the guests and maximizing benefit from all expertise.

His Excellency added that "the crowning of distinguished universities in this classification empowers the universities’ roles, in light of great aspirations," He continued, "the Future Directions Forum, which was launched in its first edition under the title “Universities and Sustainable Development,” is a direct implementation of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, the new Universities Law in the Kingdom and the King Khalid University 2030 Strategy, which is in line with the strategy for developing the Asir region, which is the first regional strategy," stressing that the forum seeks to enhance the contributions of universities in development work and involve them in drawing future plans, which are the roles various Arab and international universities participate.

His Excellency expressed his great joy at this meeting, which was sponsored by His Highness the Governor of Asir, appreciating the support of the Ministry of Education and the Council of University Affairs, expressing his gratitude to all the bodies that contributed to the organization and follow-up from inside and outside the Kingdom.
