The Arab Universities Honoring Ceremony listed in the 2024 Arab Classification, hosted by King Khalid University, witnessed a noble gesture by the father of a faculty member from the College of Pharmacy at the university, Dr. Amna Al-Almai - may God have mercy on her - receiving the ranking certificate of King Khalid University, which achieved second place nationally and fifth place in the Arab world in this ranking, in commemoration of his daughter, Dr. Amna Al-Almai, and in appreciation from the university for her sincere efforts and her exceptional work within the international rankings team at the university.

The ceremony was marked by a poetic atmosphere not devoid of sadness that stirred the feelings of the attendees, where the father of Dr. Al-Almai, the poet Ali bin Mahdi Al-Almai, sought permission from His Highness the Governor of Asir and head of its development authority to present verses of poetry, expressing that his daughter "loved the university and the university loved her," expressing his gratitude and appreciation on behalf of his daughter, and addressing the university:

Because you are glory, history, and generosity ...

From you the meanings, and from me rhythm and words

Truthful rhymes are not enough for you …

And poetry, however complete, will always lack

Mother of virtues, the letters inhabit me …

But you are exalted, beyond a letter and a pen

Am I bankrupt? No, except that my mouth …

Is speechless, and these bounties have overwhelmed me

A palm tree told us, truthfully …

That the harvest is good, and the branches are heavy

The ceremony witnessed a wonderful gesture for Al-Almai, may God have mercy on her, where her father, accompanied by His Excellency, the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, and in the presence of His Highness the Governor of Asir and head of its development authority, received the ranking certificate of King Khalid University among the Arab universities listed in the 2024 Arab Classification; in recognition of her distinguished efforts, may God have mercy on her, in the university's rankings file.
