KKU Signs an Agreement of Cooperation with the Ministry of Defense
King Khalid University - General Administration of Institutional Communication
King Khalid University recently signed an agreement of cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, represented by the Administration of Education and Training at the General Administration for Human Resources of the Ministry’s Agency for Excellence Services. The signing took place at the International Conference of the Job Market in Riyadh, with the aim to build skills, exchange expertise, and to apply the best practices in the field of education and training, with the attendance of His Excellency, University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami.
The Ministry of Defense was represented in the signing by the Executive General Manager of the General Administration for Human Resources at the Ministry Agency for Excellence Services, Eng. Sami bin Abdulaziz Al-budnah, while King Khalid University was represented by the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Hamid bin Majdou Al-Qarni.
The agreement terms included establishing bridging programs for the graduates of military colleges and academies, hosting training programs to develop the members of the Education and Training Commission and employees of the education and training facilities at the ministry. In addition to establishing training paths to enrich current and future needs of the ministry, and providing professional training support to build and develop ministry employees’ skills and aid them in obtaining professional certificates.
The terms also included providing university admission to the ministry's employees who suffered war casualties and sons and daughters of martyrs. In addition to exchanging expertise between the two parties in scientific and academic fields, and conducting studies and research for publishing. As well as benefiting from the university’s distinguished graduates in the Ministry’s recruitment program, and cooperating in the field of delegation and internal scholarships for the Ministry’s employees for a number of specializations in postgraduate studies.
