On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education, His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami, chaired the fifth meeting of the University Council for the academic year 1446 today, Wednesday. The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Council of Universities Affairs, Prof. Bassam bin Abdullah Al-Bassam, along with other council members.

The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and Secretary of the University Council, Prof. Hamed bin Majdoua Al-Qarni, explained that the council discussed the agenda items and made the necessary recommendations. The council approved the recommendations of the Audit Committee and the Investment Committee as outlined in their meeting minutes. Additionally, the council approved the 2025 financial year's investment plan and its estimated budget. It also endorsed the appointment of faculty members to the Councils of the College of Languages and Translation and the College of Science.

Moreover, the council approved decisions regarding the appointment of several faculty members and equivalent positions, as well as faculty-related requests concerning secondments, renewals, transfers, and assignments. The council also approved the awarding of various academic degrees, as well as decisions related to scholarships, including initiating, extending, and concluding scholarships, and enrolling several teaching assistants and lecturers.
