King Khalid University, represented by its General Administration of Volunteering and Community Partnership, has secured two top positions in volunteering at the national level within the activities of the Saudi and Global Volunteer Day 2024, held under the slogan "A Giving Community."

The university's Vice President for Operations and Community Partnership, Prof. Abdullatif bin Ibrahim Al-Hadithi, indicated that this achievement reflects the university's continuous efforts across its various departments to support the outcomes of volunteer work and enhance its community impact, noting that these positions are evidence of the university's national leadership in the fields of volunteering and community development.

The General Supervisor of the General Administration of Volunteering and Community Partnership, Dr. Mosfer Al-Asmari, explained that the university obtained two top positions within the activities of the Global Volunteer Day, winning the award of the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development in the track of organizing volunteer work at the government level, through its participation in the qualitative volunteer initiative "Mubadiroon," the fifth edition of which concluded last summer.

Al-Asmari added that the university ranked first in activating volunteer work among universities at the Ministry of Education level, pointing out that this award came as a result of collaborative effort and teamwork, as the university achieved nearly 4,000 completed volunteer opportunities within one year, with the participation of more than 16,000 volunteers, totalling 809,000 volunteer hours that achieved a beneficiary satisfaction rate of 99%.

It is worth noting that the National Volunteerism Award is one of the most prominent tools aimed at motivating volunteers in the Kingdom and honoring their efforts. It also seeks to instill a culture of volunteerism among members of society and to promote positive values of giving and dedication, thus establishing a prestigious image for these efforts at both the national and international levels.
